Park Manuel Antonio

Here we are again left on the road, we take a bus and then another bus to the border with Costa Rica.
Then we take another bus to San José, we prefer to go there, Jade had 40 fever the day before and the camera is malfunctioning.

We find a very good youth hostel, Costa Rica Guesthouse, at the front desk two french students, we also met there, a French couple, Clement and Ornella which was the first day of their 10-month journey , it reminds us memories.

On Monday, the camera is placed in a restful, we will recover it cleaned two days later, it was enough to fix it.

San Jose, capital of Costa Rica is a modern city, very European, certainly compared to the cities that we have seen in Central America, many shops and higher prices than in France for many things, it changes also other countries crossed.

We will stay 4 nights, we took full advantage of the inn, its good breakfasts and atmosphere that prevails there.

From the recovered camera, we can finally go to the real Costa Rica, Quepos for the park Manuel Antonio.

The bus is direct, we have trouble finding a place to sleep, we had to make almost a decade before finding something decent, well placed, but dark, warm and with a bad smell.

The next day we take the bus to the park Manuel Antonio, admission is expensive $ 16 per person, fortunately the girls do not pay.

We arrive in the jungle, after a few hundred meters, we see our first sloths, somewhat camouflaged in the trees.

We then continue up to the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio is also well known for its two beaches along the shores of a peninsula.

We stop on the beach for swimming, this beach is also the mark of a raccoon band, who has been called racoon thieves, well organized, they open the bags to steal food. Do not leave anything lying around on the beach.

We go to the beach which is located behind, calmer, which is the mark of iguanas.

We decided to go around the peninsula and in the end we find a group of capuchin monkeys, they come to us, we are less than a meter from them.

The next day we decided to return.

We will have more luck with the sloths, we saw three, the last much more closely and especially not hidden behind the leaves.

We have of course seen raccoons and again saw a dozen Capuchin monkeys.

It’s really amazing to see all these animals so close.

There are of course also dozens of vultures in the sky, but it is common for us for several months.

We also did a little bit of trek to get the twin beaches, where we made dams on the small river that flows on this beach in memory of all the dams that we have done in Britain.

Just before taking the bus, we had the chance to see a group of squirrel monkeys.

Tomorrow we continue the road towards Uvita.
